How often do I need to renew the rental period?

For the Foundation Support Room (Business Incubation Room), it is once a year. For the Office for Rent (Technology Development Office), it is every two years.

Can only a corporation rent it?

Both individuals and corporations can rent it.

I have already completed the office registration, but can I apply?

Yes, you can.

Is there any condition(s) for rental regarding the duration of running the business since the company's foundation?

Five years must have passed since the business’ foundation/establishment. In case you entered a field or industry within one year or have a plan to enter in the future, you are eligible even if more than five years have passed since the foundation.

What is the size of the room (m²)?

One room: 22 m² (approx. 3 m x 7 m), a long room. Available up to 2 rooms.

What kinds of equipment are available in the tenant room?

It has four 15-amps outlets, one TV antenna cable, and one socket for the internet connection.

Is there any condition(s) for rental regarding the duration of running the business since the company's foundation?

No.

What is the size of the room (m²)?

The size varies depending on the room. (33 m² - 251 m²)

What kinds of equipment are available in the tenant room?

It has 15-amp outlet(s) and TV antenna cabling.
*The number of outlets and TV antenna cables depends on the size of the room.

What procedures and screening should be completed before the rental?

When you apply for the rental, you must submit your application documents by the end of the month. Regarding the Foundation Support Room (Business Incubation Room), we hold a monthly new tenant screening meeting. For more information, click here.

What happens if my representative cannot attend the candidate screening committee?

A substitute can attend it instead.

When becoming a tenant company, besides rent and utility fees, what are other costs we need to pay?

The first deposit, the electricity costs, and air conditioning costs will be borne by you as the actual costs.
*An internet line service, telephone line service, and parking are available through individual contracts.

How much is the deposit when the rental starts?

For the Foundation Support Room (Business Incubation Room), it is 100,000 yen per room. For the Office For Rent (Technology Development Office), it is equivalent to three months' rent.

Can I get the deposit back when leaving?

We will return it to you when you leave.

How many years do I have to be a tenant company to be free from the cancelation fee?

The number of years of rental does not matter.

Do I have to pay the cost of restoring the site to its original condition when leaving the facility?

The cost to restore it to the original condition by repair and cleaning is going to be incurred.

What times are the facilities available?

The facilities are available 24 hours a day. However, this excludes the closed days (about three days a year).

Is there any contracted parking at the facility?

Parkings is located in the basement of Softopia Japan Center Building. Upon your request, we will show you private parking near the facility.

If I leave the facility in the middle of the contract period, how many months in advance should I contact you?

In principle, please contact us at least one month before the departure date.

How many companies are in the whole Softopia Japan area?

About 150 companies in total.

Is there any contracted parking at the facility?

It is located in the basement of Softopia Japan Center Building. On your request, we will show you private parking near the facility.
